Frequently Asked Questions (Häufige Fragen)

Things people ask before signing up.

01 · Which exam should I take — Goethe, TestDaF or telc?
For German university admission, TestDaF and Goethe-Zertifikat C1 are most widely accepted. For residence permits and naturalisation in Germany, telc Deutsch B1 (DTZ) is standard. For general proof of proficiency in any country, Goethe is the most internationally recognised.
02 · How long does it take to prepare for B2 level?
From a solid B1 base, most learners need 4–6 months of focused practice (about 1 hour daily) to reach B2 exam readiness. Our adaptive system estimates your personal timeline after a 20-minute placement test.
03 · How can I view feedback in my preferred language?
In the upper right corner of the platform, you can click on the flag icon. Then select your preferred language to continue. All necessary content will be automatically translated into your language.
04 · How accurate is the AI feedback on my writing?
Our writing assessment is trained on official Goethe and TestDaF rubrics. It evaluates task achievement, coherence, vocabulary range and grammatical accuracy — the same four criteria used by real examiners.
05 · Can I practice without an internet connection?
The web platform requires an internet connection for AI feedback and progress sync. Downloaded vocabulary decks and PDF exam guides are available offline on any device.
06 · Is there a free trial?
Yes. New users get a full-access trial including one complete mock exam at any CEFR level. No credit card required.
